IMECE Project prepared by Habitat Association and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a project that aims to reach Syrians and Turkish citizens who are entrepreneurs and entrepreneur candidates who want to contribute to the growth of Turkey and make use of the economic resources Syrian refugees bring to Turkey for a common future.
The goal of the project is to increase the access of individuals to means of living by ensuring their participation and contribution to the economy, and at the same time aims their participation in social cohesion processes as well.
Within the scope of the project, activities and trainings are carried out under the headings of entrepreneurship and employment in 14 provinces of Turkey (Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Denizli, Mersin, Hatay, Gaziantep, Istanbul, İzmir, Kilis, Konya, Kayseri, Sakarya and Şanlıurfa).
Within the scope of employment, trainings on the labor market, labor law and career planning in Turkey are being organized.
Within the scope of entrepreneurship; basic entrepreneurship, social finance and design-based thinking trainings are delivered to entrepreneur candidates. In addition, with web design and digital marketing trainings for entrepreneurs and SMEs who have established their business or have a business idea, it is aimed to develop the digital capacities of individuals and businesses and to grow their businesses by ensuring their businesses exist online. Individuals participating in the trainings organized throughout the project can participate in the 3-day entrepreneurship camp at the end of the year with their business ideas.
