Within the scope of the “IMECE Project” carried out by the Habitat Association and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), “IMECE Circle”, which is aimed to be a wide network that would bringing together refugee entrepreneurs, freelancer employees, mentors, as well as everyone with entrepreneurial spirit and motivation, was established.

The IMECE Project, launched by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Habitat Association in 2016, aims to ensure their employment by improving the skills of Syrian refugees, and bring their business ideas to life. It also supports the social cohesion of refugees and host society through employment and entrepreneurship activities carried out within the scope of the project. Within the scope of the project, “IMECE Circle”, which is aimed to be a wide network that would bringing together refugee entrepreneurs, freelancer employees, mentors, as well as everyone with entrepreneurial spirit and motivation, was established. The IMECE Circle Opening Meeting, moderated by Elif Bilge Erdölek, Habitat Association’s Socioeconomic Adaptation Program Director, started with the opening speeches of UNHCR Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion Programs Deputy Director İmren Arslanoğlu and Habitat Association Chairman Sezai Hazır.
