“IMECE MUSIC CONCERT”, one of the social cohesion activities of the IMECE Project, which has been carried out since 2016 in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Habitat Association, took place on December 26, 2019 at Istanbul Sanat Performance. In the night, which aims to establish a communication beyond cultural and linguistic boundaries through the unifying power of music, the groups participating in the competition organized under the name of IMECE BAND in recent years took the stage.
In the IMECE MUSIC CONCERT, which we organized for the third time this year within the scope of the IMECE Project, which aims to create a common future together by ensuring the participation and contribution of refugees living in Turkey to the economy, groups participating in the IMECE BAND competition held in 2017 and 2018 took the stage. Attended by 270 viewers, the night, which aims to combine social cohesion through music, started with the performance of “Mood Band”, which consists of Syrian and Iranian musicians.
The event continued with the stage performance of the band “Dublin Groupsahne”, which consists of Turkish and Azerbaijani musicians. The performance of musicians made a strong impression in the social cohesion-focused event where different music genres and styles met with each other.
